The Great Human Race

The Arc of Durham County once again will participate in this year’s Great Human Race. This 5 K walk/run organized by The Volunteer Center of Durham raises money for Triangle area organizations including The Arc. 85% of each dollar we raise goes directly back to The Arc to support our organization.

Help us reach our goal!

Online donations are available. The Arc is trying to raise $3,000 to help provide services to our community. Your friends and family, your coworkers and companies! Talk to everyone you know and ask them to support The Arc’s cause! You can send anyone to our site and they can donate online!

Do you like to walk or run?

If you intend to participate in the 5K Nonprofit Walk on March 27, you can register online or email us at arctournament@aol.com. We will forward you the registration forms and release information to participate.

• Participate by becoming part of a team or starting your own.
  You can register your own team online — click on "Create a Team Member Fundraising Page."
• Raise pledges and join us on the day of the event to walk or run competitively.

Don’t want to walk?

• You can still raise pledges for a team. Just send people to our donation page or pick up a pledge sheet and start collecting for our cause.
• You could help by manning The Arc’s information table on the day of the event.
• You could stand on the sidelines of the walk cheering all of the walkers on!
